India doesn’t have a single Gymshark athlete – yet.
Kritanshverma is on a mission to change that and is actively participating in the annual Gymshark66 Challenge in a bid to get noticed by the brand.
Aiming to put India on the Gymshark map
In an Instagram post outlining his goals, Kritansh said that he knows “some people might laugh or judge his decision”, but that he “didn’t want to live with regret or guilt for the rest of [his] life, just because [he] was afraid of what other people might think”.
He also cited a serious injury in 2024 as his inspiration for wanting to take part in the challenge, in no small part to prove medical professionals wrong after they told him he would never be able to lift again.
What is Gymshark66?
The Gymshark66 Challenge is a 66-day-long movement that encourages people to pick three healthy habits to stick to throughout the duration.
Each year, the iconic brand selects a few people who have excelled in the challenge to become official Gymshark athletes.
And these people aren’t selected because they’re the fastest or strongest, but because they’ve demonstrated an inspiring commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.
Kritansh has chosen three admirable habits to follow: getting 8 hours of sleep per night, hitting a daily protein target, and doing at least an hour of resistance training every day.
How is Kritansh getting on?
We’re now getting towards the business end of the Gymshark66 Challenge, and Kritansh’s mission to become India’s first-ever Gymshark athlete is building steam.
On day 43, he posted a snippet of his upper-body workout, and he’s posted regular strength-training videos throughout the challenge so far.
